Gas Station

Overview

The Gas Station is a dedicated vault that automatically tops up gas for your other vaults, so transactions don't fail for lack of gas.

If the Gas Station isn't activated for your enterprise yet, contact clients@hextrust.com.

Key features

  • Enabled by an Admin: an Admin can enable the Gas Station once Hex Trust has activated it. See User Roles.
  • Automatic funding: when a vault's gas balance reaches its threshold, the Gas Station sends the top-up amount.
  • One per enterprise: each enterprise has one dedicated Gas Station vault.
  • No approval needed: automatic top-ups from the Gas Station don't need approval.
  • Deposits any time: you can deposit into the Gas Station like any other vault.

How to set up the Gas Station

  1. You need the Admin role.
  2. Ask your Relationship Manager or clients@hextrust.com to activate the feature.
  3. On the dashboard, click Enable Gas Station.
  4. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions.
  5. Approve the action in your Hex Safe Mobile App.

How to use the Gas Station

1. Fund it

  • Find the Gas Station vault in your vault list.
  • Deposit into it the same way as any other vault. See How do I deposit assets.

2. Set thresholds and top-up amounts

  1. Open the Gas Station vault and go to the Enabled Vaults tab.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. For each vault and chain, set the Threshold and the Top up Amount. Changed values are highlighted in blue.
  4. Click Publish Changes and confirm in your Hex Safe Mobile App.

How the threshold works

When a vault's gas balance reaches or falls below the threshold, the Gas Station automatically sends the top-up amount. No manual approval is needed.

3. Withdraw from it

  • Start a withdrawal from the Gas Station vault like any other withdrawal. See How do I withdraw assets.
  • It follows your enterprise's approval quorum.

Supported chains

Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Binance Smart Chain, Core Blockchain Mainnet, Ethereum, Flare, Kaia, Linea, Optimism, Polygon, Solana Mainnet, Songbird, Tron and XRPL.

Turn the Gas Station off for a vault

  1. Open the Gas Station vault and go to the Enabled Vaults tab.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Use the switch on the vault and chain to turn top-ups off.
  4. Click Publish Changes and confirm in your Hex Safe Mobile App.
