Deposit assets

Depositing works the same way for every wallet type. You can deposit:

  1. Tokens
  2. Bitcoin
  3. NFTs

Try it: interactive walkthrough

Click the highlighted area on each screen to move through the steps. All names, balances and addresses are demo data.

Token deposits

  1. On the Vaults dashboard, click Deposit. You can also use the deposit icon in the left menu.
  2. Keep Tokens selected and choose the token you want to deposit. See the list of supported assets. To request a new token, email clients@hextrust.com.
  3. Choose the Network the sender will use.

Be careful when choosing the network. Only send a token on a network Hex Safe supports for it. Sending on the wrong network may mean the funds never arrive. Read more.

  4. Select the Vault that should receive the deposit. To deposit into a new vault, create it first in Vault Management.

  5. Click Continue.
  6. Click Copy, or scan the QR code, and use this address as the recipient on the sending platform.

Bitcoin deposits

  1. On the Vaults dashboard, click Deposit.
  2. Keep Tokens selected and choose Bitcoin (BTC).
  3. In the Network field, choose Bitcoin.
  4. Select the Vault that should receive the BTC and click Continue.
  5. Choose the address to use:
    • Permanent addresses never change. Use them when an external platform needs to whitelist your address. Both Native SegWit and SegWit formats are available.
    • Other addresses are fresh addresses you create yourself. Using a new address for each deposit is better for privacy. Choose the format, then click + Address. You can give each address a name tag.
  6. Click the QR icon next to an address to show a scannable code, or click the copy icon to copy the address. Use it as the recipient on the sending platform.

NFT deposits

Hex Safe supports ERC-721 and ERC-1155 NFTs. To request support for another NFT network, email clients@hextrust.com.

  1. On the Vaults dashboard, click Deposit.
  2. Switch the asset type to NFTs.
  3. Choose the Network the NFT is on.
  4. Select the Vault that should hold the NFT and click Continue.
  5. Click Copy, or scan the QR code, and use this address as the recipient when you send the NFT.
