WalletConnect¶
WalletConnect lets you connect your Hex Safe vaults securely to Web3 applications (dApps). Through WalletConnect you can:
- Sign transactions that a dApp asks for.
- Sign and authenticate with a signature request, so a dApp can verify you own the address and log you in with one action.
Try it: interactive walkthrough
Click the highlighted area on each screen to move through the steps. All names, balances and addresses are demo data.
Connect a dApp¶
- Copy the dApp's code: on the dApp, click its connect button and choose WalletConnect. Copy the connection code it shows.
- Open Connect Wallet in Hex Safe: click Connect Wallet at the top right, then Connect under WalletConnect.
- Paste the code into Connect Code and click Continue.
- Choose vaults and networks: select the vault or vaults the dApp may use. Hex Safe then lists the networks available for them. You can only use assets on those networks with the dApp. Click Confirm.
- Check the connection: Hex Safe confirms the dApp is connected, and the dApp shows your vault's address.
Approve dApp transactions¶
- Start the action on the dApp. When it asks you to confirm, return to Hex Safe, where a pop-up shows the request and network fee options.
- Review the details: amount, recipient address and network fee.
- Confirm in the Hex Safe Mobile App: open the app, find the pending request, check it again and confirm it.
Manage connected dApps¶
Click Connect Wallet, then Active Sessions, to see connected dApps and disconnect any you no longer use.
