Staking¶
What is Staking?¶
"Staking is a process in which digital assets holders participate in the operation of a blockchain network by locking up a portion of their assets." In exchange for securing the network, participants known as delegators receive cryptocurrency rewards.
How does Staking work?¶
Validators confirm transaction authenticity by adding new data blocks to the blockchain. To participate as a validator, individuals must lock up a minimum quantity of the network's native token. Those who commit larger amounts increase their likelihood of being chosen to validate blocks and collect associated rewards.
