LAND is a piece of digital property within The Sandbox metaverse. Each LAND is a non-fungible token (NFT) built on top of the Ethereum blockchain (ERC-721). Hex Trust’s clients can purchase LAND and build experiences on that virtual property, such as games and assets. You can choose to charge others (in $SAND) for visiting your LAND and playing your games.
The Sandbox metaverse consists of a total of 166,464 LANDS. Multiple LANDS can form an ESTATE, which can be owned by several players and form a DISTRICT. Owners of a DISTRICT will be entitled to special governance rules that affect all the experiences within.
Where can I get LAND?
LAND is currently available on the biggest NFT marketplace, called OpenSea. It can also be purchased and sold on The Sandbox platform with $SAND or other cryptocurrencies.
The Sandbox has seen significant growth in 2021: it has over 500,000 registered wallets and 12,000 unique virtual LAND owners, and generated over US$144M in lifetime GMV.
