The differences between accounts, sub-accounts, wallets.

In order to get the most from Hex Safe experience we suggest to learn a little terminology:

Account

An account on Hex Safe is the custody profile belonging to the individual or entity, private or public, that agreed to safe-keep their assets with Hex Trust. An account can contain multiple sub-accounts and wallets to allow for on-chain asset segregation and enhanced security.

Sub-account

A sub-account on Hex Safe is a virtual space managed by users with different roles, meant to hold wallets. Sub-accounts can be used by you to manage your own clients, as well as funds with specific purposes, which will be enabled through creating different on-chain segregated wallets for each sub-account. If you require multiple wallets, our team can advise on the best sub-account structure for your account.

Wallet

A wallet is a software-based system that securely stores assets and/or FIAT. There are two different wallets available in Hex Safe. For each wallet it is possible to set a daily withdrawal limit and a specific approval scheme. You can learn about withdrawals from each wallet type here .
