Murakami.Flowers is a collection of 11,664 flower images created by renowned Japanese artist Takashi Murakami on the Ethereum blockchain. The inspiration came from pixelated Japanese TV games created in the 1970s. The artwork was presented at Gagosian’s New York galleries in May-June 2022. Only one Murakami flower can be purchased by a single MetaMask wallet. They were originally distributed to buyers as a “seed”, which then transformed into Murakami flowers after the public sale.
