Setting up Google Two Factor Authentication (2FA).

2FA is a widely utilized authentication method designed to enhance security. 

You will be required to input 2FA to successfully perform the following actions:

  • Login
  • Initiate Withdrawals
  • Initiate Staking
  • Enable/Disable Wallet Whitelisting
  • Add/Remove addresses from a Whitelist
  • Create a new address in the Address Book

To set up your Google 2FA please follow the steps below:
  1.  Download the “Google Authenticator” App:
  2. On your device, go to your Google Account.
  3. At the top, in the navigation panel, tap Security.
  4. Under "Signing in to Google," tap 2-Step Verification. You might need to sign in.
  5. In the "Add more second steps to verify it’s you" section, under "Authenticator app", tap Set up.
  6. Follow the on-screen steps.
During the first time user onboarding, you will receive an email which links to onboarding screens in Hex Safe. There you would need to create a password, and then set up the Google 2FA which can be done through scanning a QR code with the Google Authenticator App. Then the current 2FA code needs to be put in to confirm the set up.
